Dept Commanders 1st Vice and EDs;
The email below is sent to the new joins every month. It is the second point of contact in the member engagement process. The first was the green hat that brought the member in or the news (or Facebook) item that triggered the vet to join online.
In August we have 1002 new joins
Median age 59
100 are life members median age 55
56 Conversions median age 62
846 annuals median age 59 yrs. 74 are female
The 59 year old veteran is buying the AMVETS product. How can we make AMVETS visible to more 59 year old veterans. Where do they hang out? One possibility is your local VA Hospital. Call the hospital public affairs and ask to set up a table and offer our services. Heal Team, Career Centers and claims assistance.
Almost forget the most important stat. This group of 1002 has 636 emails 63.4% We usually are at only 50% emails. Always make the effort to capture emails. We can engage all our members in an email (50%). The other half are in the dark.
