Special Olympics NewPassion Plunge Pledge Form Rev1

My Dear Fellow AMVETS,

The AMVETS Dept of MA Special Olympics Committee chaired by PDC Leon Proctor is gearing up for the Annual Passion Plunge Fundraiser and is

asking for your help by supporting this worthwhile event on February  9th, 2019.   Many AMVETS and their family members have committed to the

Special Olympics Massachusetts (SOMA) by taking a chilly Plunge into Lake Cochituate.  I know – you’re probably getting cold just thinking about it!

But the cold they will feel is temporary…the positive impact this will have on the lives of thousands of children with intellectual disabilities will last

a lifetime.

The Special Olympics Committee has set a fundraising goal of $18,000.00 for 2019 and they need your help to reach it!  So no, we are not asking you to

take the Plunge alongside them, but instead, are asking if you will make a donation to Special Olympics Massachusetts by sponsoring a AMVET Plunger who will be making the Passion Plunge.  Any amount would be appreciated – it all goes to a wonderful cause, and every little bit gets us that much closer to our goal.

To support the 2019 Passion Plunge, please use the attached Pledge form and make all donation checks payable to “SOMA” and return it or any cash collections to Plunger or Plunger Team that you are sponsoring.  You can mail it directly to me at: AMVETS Dept of MA/ State House Room 546-3/ Boston, MA 02143-1048 Attn: Arthur Marchetta 2nd Vice Cdr.

You may also visit which will take you to the

AMVETS 2019 Natick Passion Plunge fundraising page, and it gives you the option of making a donation online via credit or debit card.

Think warm thoughts for us as February 9th approaches.  Can you believe how much WARMTH can come out so much COLD?

Thank you/

Arthur Marchetta

2nd Vice Commander
